Anselm Winfried Müller is a Senior Fellow of the Hyde Park Institute. He was a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Trier (Germany) for many years and is now retired. He received his doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Fribourg and continued graduate studies with Anthony Kenny and Elizabeth Anscombe at Oxford. He served as a Lecturer at Balliol College and later was a Senior Research Fellow at Corpus Christi College, Oxford. In 2011 he started giving lectures in Ethics and running discussion groups in the Philosophy Department of the University of Chicago. His primary research interests are in ancient philosophy, moral philosophy, philosophy of mind, theories of rationality, political philosophy, and the philosophy of education. He has published eight books and some sixty articles. He is currently at work on a study of the personality and philosophy of Elizabeth Anscombe.
