Dr. Jayant Pinto is an otolaryngologist and an associate professor of surgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center. He specializes in sinus and nasal diseases, including allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, and olfactory disorders. He is an expert in minimally invasive sinus surgery and skull base tumors. Dr. Pinto also treats common conditions of the head and neck such as sleep apnea, snoring, and enlarged turbinates. Dr. Pinto’s research focus is to understand the effect of aging on sinonasal and sensory disorders. He incorporates various factors such as demographics, genetics, the environment, and social context to determine the susceptibility to these nasal conditions. Dr. Pinto’s research is funded by the National Institute on Aging and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease.
